Our Grandson Maxwell's Baptism

Sunday we were privileged to attend our grandson Maxwell's baptism in Baltimore.

A very important step of obedience in our grandson's life.
There were six being baptised that day.   Each one was given time to share their testimony.

A hug from his daddy.

Love this one of Aunt Holly

Pastor Matt Stutzman, Mark and Jeremy.
Matt is our daughter-in-law Jessica's brother.

It was special seeing Kari K., a young girl from our church who   just moved to Baltimore this past Thursday.  She'll be a great asset to the church there.

Jeremy pulling out the grill for a wonderful Sunday afternoon picnic.

Mark and three of our boys.  We miss you Israel's and Ethan's.

 Timmy and Diana

"Uncle Timmy, swing me higher."

What a meaningful gift for Max.   Cheryl framed a pic of him along with his name and meaning.

Good bye Ariel.  Grandma is looking forward to seeing you again this week-end in Delaware.

September Sewing Circle

It's hard to believe that another Summer has come and gone.  September brings the first sewing circle of the new year.
I love the fall colors of this corduroy comfort that Queena K. pieced.

This top was small and the ladies had it tied before lunch.

Love the different age groups around this quilt.

What a cozy house this makes.  A blanket draped over the table.

For Show~and~Tell I brought the quilt I am making for our granddaughter Ariel.  I've printed lots of pictures of her on fabric and have them in the quilt.  I'll make a separate post on this quilt later.

Connie showed her pinwheel quilt with applique vines in the border.  I love the soft colors.

This is Emily's first quilt project.  Great job done Emily!

We usually have 4 or 5 ladies piecing tops at our sewing machines.  That is where you will find me each sewing day.   I love machine work.
Queena K. spearheaded this years quilt top.  She cut a huge stack of 5inch squares out of scrap fabric.

Linda getting her machine ready to help sew these squares into a really cool block.

I see they a pattern forming.

I know I am going to like this scrappy quilt!

Here at home Holly and I have been working with triangles.

I need to get back to machine quilting so I'm out of here.

Enjoying Summer Time

These are busy days, but good days.
One of my joys in life is being a grandmother.  Here is one of my favorite spots in my home.  I love a little quiet time on my side porch.

Part of last week, Wed. through the weekend we attended our annual church conference.   This year it was held in Belleville, PA.    Thanks to all you local folks who worked so hard to make our stay so comfortable.
On our way home we stopped in Baltimore for a short visit at our son Jeremy's place.    Max and Bo were down by the creek with company.

Ariel was down for her nap but before we left we did get to hold her.

Saturday night we drove to Uncle Lloyd and Aunt Orpha's home for the night.   Aunt Orpha showed me a comfort that her mom's mom (Mark's great grandmother) had pieced and made out of the boys in the family's old pants.
