September Sewing Circle

It's hard to believe that another Summer has come and gone.  September brings the first sewing circle of the new year.
I love the fall colors of this corduroy comfort that Queena K. pieced.

This top was small and the ladies had it tied before lunch.

Love the different age groups around this quilt.

What a cozy house this makes.  A blanket draped over the table.

For Show~and~Tell I brought the quilt I am making for our granddaughter Ariel.  I've printed lots of pictures of her on fabric and have them in the quilt.  I'll make a separate post on this quilt later.

Connie showed her pinwheel quilt with applique vines in the border.  I love the soft colors.

This is Emily's first quilt project.  Great job done Emily!

We usually have 4 or 5 ladies piecing tops at our sewing machines.  That is where you will find me each sewing day.   I love machine work.
Queena K. spearheaded this years quilt top.  She cut a huge stack of 5inch squares out of scrap fabric.

Linda getting her machine ready to help sew these squares into a really cool block.

I see they a pattern forming.

I know I am going to like this scrappy quilt!

Here at home Holly and I have been working with triangles.

I need to get back to machine quilting so I'm out of here.

I'm glad to see your Sewing Circle posts again. So can you point me to a tutorial on making the scrappy quilt blocks with big 5" squares? We may need this for our Sewing Circle.

Love the triangle blocks, our quilting group makes quilts to give away, and also cuts 5 inch blocks, we may copy this block!
